Adder Vipera berus 16th March 2010.Single Adder seen basking on a warm pleasant spring morning on Maulden Heath. Have seen them in this general area in the past few years and always get a buzz when seeing them. They are very shy and will disappear at the slightest quick movement, heavy footfall or casting your shadow over them so need to be approached slowly and with care or your chance of seeing thses lovely creatures is gone.
